updates/news!

Coach Jim here....
for the record (see post below), it's now 12 World Championships (and hopefully still counting!).....
1. book: trust me, it's a GREAT READ!!! Tons of fun for the whole family, even non-gymnastics people should enjoy all the nonsense and trouble I've managed to stumble into ("into which I've managed to stumble" for you grammarians!) over the years.....

2. "no Olivia, you're not in it....text was written before Hannah and I came to Peak...."

3. "no Tiana, you're not in it....see above...."

4. "no Victoria.....sheesh!!!"

5. IMPORTANT: try to get into the habit of checking this blog from time to time, then regularly, then daily.....there are LOTS of GREAT activities and projects we've got planned for Peak Experience Gymnastics in 2010, and here's the easiest place to "get all the good stuff!"

6. HAPPY HOLIDAYS, more soon!
Coach Jim

Chasing Impossible Dreams

Our Team Coach, Jim Holt has written a memoir about his two decades striving for the international development of gymnastics. I’m certain it will be a great read.

In short, it is a manifesto for self-determination, individual achievement, and a refusal to capitulate to the tides of conformity which threaten us all….

… He has coached (to date) in 11 World Championships, including 1991- Bolivia; 1993- Bolivia & Ecuador, 1994-Bolivia, 1996-Iran, 1997 Barbados; 1999-Namibia; 2001-Bolivia; 2002- Bolivia; 2003- Bolivia; 2006-Yemen; 2007- Yemen. He was the National Coach for Zimbabwe at the 1995 All-African Games where he also served as Gymnastics Competition Director, and was Assistant Coach for Nigeria at the 1994 Commonwealth Games. …
