Are you interested in trying out for Peak's Competitive Team?
We will be holding Try-outs on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 8:30 am. If your gymnast can do the following skills listed below, and you are wanting and able to make the time and financial commitment to our team program, please fill out the survey below and we will put you on the roster.
Team Commitment: Should you be invited to Team, your gymnast must be able to commit to at least 2-3 days of practice each week, and practices are between 2-4 hours depending on their level. Once you submit the form below, we will also send you a draft copy of our Team Handbook/Contract, so you are able to get an idea of the financial commitment required and get an idea of what it means to be a part of the team.
The skills that will be assessed during the try-out will be:
Please have your gymnast attend try-outs with a leotard, hair pulled out of the face, and bring a water bottle. By the conclusion of try-outs, your gymnast will be assessed, and if they are ready, they will be placed in one of the following team areas soon after try-outs:
-Soaring Peaks (Mini Pre-Team)
-Rising Peaks (Pre-Team)
-Competitive Team

- handstand hold (against the wall)
- splits
- bridge with a kick over
- general body strength (such as pushups, hollow hold, leg lifts, rope climb, etc.)
- general body awareness (arm positions, tight legs, toe point, and presentation)
- general flexibility (splits, shoulders, back)
- Vault: handstand to flat back
- Bars: pullover and back hip circle
- Beam: teeter-totter, handstand, and body positioning on relevé
- Floor: handstand, cartwheel/roundoff, backward roll, split leap, bridge
