Are you interested in trying out for Peak's Competitive Team?
We will be holding Tryouts on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 8:00 am. We will evaluate your gymnast on the skills listed below. If you are wanting and able to make the time and financial commitment to our team program, please fill out the survey below and we will put you on the tryout roster.
Team Commitment: Should you be invited to Team, your gymnast must be able to commit to at least 2-3 days of practice each week, and practices are between 2-4 hours depending on their level for one year. Practice is in the evenings during the school year (most likely a 4 pm start time) and switches to the mornings during summer (most likely an 8 am start time). Once you submit the form below, we will also send you a draft copy of our Team Handbook/Contract, so you are able to get an idea of the financial commitment required and get an idea of what it means to be a part of the team.
The skills that will be assessed during the try-out will be:
**Pre-Team: Pre-Team is for our younger gymnasts (under age 7) who are looking to compete in the next year or two. We will be evaluating to ensure they have a love for gymnastics, willingness to learn, ability to focus/stay engaged, and general body strength/awareness. This group trains approximately 2 - 4 hours per week and participates in 1-2 mock meets at Peak Gymnastics to prepare them. This is also a one-year commitment.
Please have your gymnast attend try-outs with a leotard, hair pulled out of the face, and bring a water bottle. By the conclusion of try-outs, your gymnast will be assessed, and if they are ready, they will be placed in one of the following team areas soon after try-outs:
-Soaring Peaks (Mini Pre-Team)
-Rising Peaks (Pre-Team)
-Competitive Team
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in the gym!
