Are you interested in trying out for Peak's Competitive Team?
We will be holding Tryouts on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 8:00 am. Tryouts are meant for beginners! We will evaluate your gymnast on the skills listed below, but they do not have to have those skills mastered. We are looking at strength, flexibility as well as coachability.
If you are interested, please fill out the survey below and we will put you on the tryout roster and send you a copy of our Team Handbook.
At try-outs, our Team Manager will go over the handbook with you at 8 am, so you have an understanding of the program, as well as time and financial commitment. The tryouts will last approximately 90 minutes.
Team Commitment: In an effort to provide you with some basic information, team is a one-year commitment. Practices are 2-3 days each week, between 2-4 hours depending on their level. Practice is in the evenings during the school year (most likely a 4 pm start time) and switches to the mornings during summer (most likely an 8 am start time).
Skills that will be assessed during try-outs are:
**Pre-Team: Pre-Team is for our younger gymnasts who are looking to compete in the next year or two. This is also a one-year commitment. We will be evaluating to ensure they have a love for gymnastics, willingness to learn, ability to focus/stay engaged, and general body strength/awareness. This group trains 2 hours, 2 days per week and participates in 1-2 mock meets at Peak Gymnastics to prepare them.
Please have your gymnast attend try-outs with a leotard, hair pulled out of the face, and bring a water bottle.
We will be sending out invites by Sunday, April 6th. If invited, they will be placed in one of the following team areas soon after try-outs:
-Pre-Team
-Competitive Team (Xcel & JO)
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in the gym!
