Are you interested in trying out for Peak's Competitive Team?
We will be holding tryouts on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 8:00 - 9:30 am. This is a FREE event. Tryouts are for beginners too! No prior enrollment at our gym is required to attend tryouts - we welcome both current and new families! At the try-outs e will evaluate your gymnast on the skills listed below, but they do not have to have those skills mastered. We also look at strength, flexibility as well as coachability.
If you are interested, please fill out the survey below and we will put you on the tryout roster and send you a copy of our Team Contract.
Team Commitment: In an effort to provide you with some basic information, team is a one-year commitment. Practices are 2-3 days each week, between 2-4 hours depending on their level. Practice is in the evenings during the school year and most groups switch to the mornings during summer (most likely an 8 am start time).
Schedules: This year it was our goal to provide as much detailed schedule information for families as possible; however, please note specific days/times could change prior to the new season depending on the Team's overall needs/spots, etc. Coaches Tabbie & Abbie lead the Pre-Team group, which has 6 open spots this upcoming season. Pre-Team practice times are Tuesday & Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30. The next introductory competitive level is Level 2. Level 2 days and times will depend on how many Level 2's we will have. There is a possibility for two Level 2 groups so this is TBD at the moment. Levels above 2 are also TBD at the moment.
Skills that will be assessed during try-outs are:
**Pre-Team: Pre-Team is for our younger gymnasts who are looking to compete in the next year or two. This is also a one-year commitment. We will be evaluating to ensure they have a love for gymnastics, willingness to learn, ability to focus/stay engaged, and general body strength/awareness. This group trains 2 hours, 2 days per week and participates in 1-2 mock meets at Peak Gymnastics to prepare them.
Please have your gymnast attend try-outs with a leotard, hair pulled out of the face, and bring a water bottle.
After Try-Outs: If your gymnast made team, you will receive an email within 2 days notifying you of our team level recommendation and next steps. There will be a parent meeting to learn more about team expectations, schedules and other important details for the upcoming season. This is a good day to bring your contract signed, should your family choose to move forward with a commitment to Team beginning in May of 2026.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in the gym!
